This is a dreadful album. Seventy-seven minutes of oh-so-pleased-with-itself indie-pop that sets out to be melodic, clever, witty and danceable and fails spectacularly on all counts. “Tunes” grate, high-pitched vocals jar and the guiding philosophy behind the music was clearly to add as many instruments and sounds as possible, regardless of the overall hideousness of the music. Avoid.
